Sugar Rush 2020

Everyone’s favorite artfully festive time of the year is here! Enjoy online activities with us on October 17th as we virtually come together to celebrate art in all forms for Sugar Rush. The virtual marketplace will be open from October 1st to October 18th. Sugar Rush details, including artist and business application links, can be found here.

Ducks for Education

The City of Sugar Hill is excited to share a fundraising partnership with Quantum Bank, benefiting the Gwinnett Tech Foundation. To raise funds, we will be selling white, rubber ducks in homage to our downtown ducks in the pond located behind the E Center. 133% of all duck purchases go to the Parker Killian Gives Moore Fund.

Economic Recovery Task Force Efforts

The Sugar Hill Economic Recovery Task Force (ERTF) was created at the request of Mayor Steve Edwards and City Manager Paul Radford in response to the health and economic crisis related to the Coronavirus pandemic. Read about the efforts of the ERTF here.


Downtown Community Clean-Up

The Sugar Hill Summer Community Clean-Up will be held Saturday, September 19th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. If you would like to join the clean-up effort, please meet in front of City Hall. All supplies will be provided.

Gary Pirkle Park Field Expansion

Construction on the Gary Pirkle Park Field expansion has begun. The fields and trails on the east side of Gary Pirkle Park will be closed until February 2021. Throughout the entirety of the project we will be sharing progress photos, stay tuned!

Sugar Hill Greenway Phase I

We are excited to share that the plans for the balance of Phase 1 of the Sugar Hill Greenway have been approved for construction and the notice to proceed is set for September 24th. Follow along with Greenway progress on the city website!
